Inside the Ambulance indie Brown Bob is to tackle military antiques and rail architecture in a pair of commissions for Yesterday.
History Hunters (6 x 60) follows military antiques specialists and father-and-son duo Dave and Steve Nuwar as they search for pieces of history.
The pair will scour the internet and fairs, make house calls and travel the country sourcing items for their shop, discovering personal and historical stories along the way.
Meanwhile, in the 10 x 60-minute series The Architecture the Railways Built, train and railway expert Tim Dunn will explore the architecture surrounding Britain’s rail lines.
Both series were commissioned by factual commissioner Hilary Rosen and ordered by Yesterday channel director Gerald Casey.
“I’m so delighted to continue our partnership with Brown Bob, who we absolutely love working with and whose programmes continue to prove so popular with our audiences,” said Rosen.
Casey added: “Yesterday viewers are always keen to learn more about the past, and these two new series shed a light on fascinating aspects of history and culture.”
The programmes are executive produced by Brown Bob’s Audrey Neil with Rob Dersley series producing.
Brown Bob has a long-standing relationship with UKTV, producing observation documentaries Inside the Ambulance, Inside the Operating Theatre and Inside the Vets for the W channel.
Elsewhere, UKTV’s Dave has recommissioned Stampede Productions’ Border Force: America’s Gatekeepers for a second series.
