The Team

Jacqueline Hewer

Co-founder and CEO

Jacqueline is the creative head of the group. She focusses on future editorial strategy and how to develop our existing brands into new business. She has an instinctive editorial eye that gives our series a Brown Bob tone across the slate. She previously worked as a journalist in BBC News, and as a BBC Commissioner for factual and factual entertainment. She likes bright lipstick and has an impeccable brown bob.

Nicki Gottlieb

Nicki is the business brain of the group. She leads on corporate strategy and manages the overall operations of all companies. Her focus is on business expansion and creating new opportunities. She used to have a brown bob but is now heart and soul a blonde girl.

Kieran Agnew

Producer

Kieran is a proud Mancunian who recently returned to the area after a decade working in London. He’s brought his strong journalistic skills to development, and now drives our Daytime output - meaning he’s contributed one way or another to almost every show Brown Bob currently produces. He’s a keen cyclist who embraces a soggy commute into the office. Yes, he’s the guy who hangs his wet stuff on the coat rack.

Steven Bricknall

Development Executive

Steven runs our development team. He’s hugely experienced in all areas of factual television, and his natural gift for bringing to life the germ of an idea means he’s won commissions from all the major broadcasters. He watches more TV, listens to more podcasts and reads more articles than seems humanly possible… but then he does split his time between West Wales and London, so that’s a lot of long train journeys.

Debra Campbell

Financial Controller

Debra brings years of production accounting experience to Brown Bob. Her expertise is setting strong accounts controls and procedures, and ensuring every production has full accounting support. She loves working in the buzzing production environment and is the queen of accessorising. Her statement belts are legendary.

Aaron Candlin

Kit Room Technician

Aaron manages all our kit for both Brown Bob North and South. Given we design and build all our own rigs, that’s quite a job. His kit room is immaculate and his labelling the envy of the company.

Joseph Clency

Production Co-ordinator

Joseph adds an eye for detail to the challenge of a schedule to help our Brown Bob North productions run smoothly. He’s also an actor, which is why he looks so much more at ease in his photo than the rest of us.

Saskia Deicidue

Office Manager

Saskia is the first point of call for our Manchester team. Who wouldn’t want to be welcomed by that smile every day? She takes multi-skilling to a whole new level - running the office, handling all admin and looking after our kit. She runs our social media, sharing regular updates then standing over the team until they like her posts.

Naomi Gayler

Executive Producer

Naomi specialises in our favourite thing – access. She once lived inside Bangkok airport for 6 months, and spent a year with the Royal Navy – all in the name of making TV. She’s now Brown Bob’s access specialist – working to meet new people and get us into new places. At the weekend, she can be found training for 10k swims in her local lake.

Gillian Hourihan

Development Producer

Gillian is a New Yorker who worked in the UK TV industry for 10 years. She developed, cast and produced features, formats and reality TV here, including Made in Chelsea. She’s now based in sunny Charleston, South Carolina, where everyone looks this good in a hat.

Annabel Locke

Production Co-ordinator

Annabel’s motto is Spreadsheets Are Life; so being a Production Co-Ordinator is the perfect first job in telly for her. She works across our high-volume series, with a can-do attitude and great nails.

Sam Lown

Production Co-ordinator

Sam’s another worshipper of the mighty spreadsheet – creating bespoke versions for every problem he hits on production. He’s the founder of Chippy Friday, a game-changer for Brown Bob North.

Nathan Mann

Researcher

Nathan is full of ideas, and loves the process of turning his best thoughts into treatments that commissioners will love. His background as a graduate of the Central School of Speech and Drama make his pitches unmissable events. He’s also a train geek. And you know we love those.

Eloise McGrath

Producer

Eloise is a tenacious producer whose love of a good chat leads her to people and organisations with compelling stories to tell. Her real strength is building long-term relationships, especially with police forces, hospitals and public bodies. She’s known as the Access Queen of Manchester – no one out there is safe from her friendly powers of persuasion.

Victoria Parry

Production Co-ordinator

Victoria joined us as a location assistant working on drama recon shoots, and her hands-on understanding of the challenges of production is invaluable in her latest role. She’s a fashion graduate who dreams of owning her own fashion brand. Which sets quite a high bar when the rest of us are deciding what to wear to the office.

Sophie Prendergast

Production Manager

Sophie oversees the day-to-day smooth-running of our Manchester productions. She brings a wealth of experience working across multiple genres in both London and the North West. She enjoys weekends exploring the countryside, especially when it involves finding a pub that serves a nice glass of Sauvignon Blanc.

Josh Swetnam

Producer

Josh is a Brown Bob all-rounder who’s an ideas man in development and an out-and-proud train geek in production. He works across our slate – it’s a long way from his first job videoing a village scarecrow competition. He’s a Sheffield Wednesday super-fan and brand ambassador for Henderson’s Relish.
